These items are not added to your item inventory, they instead appear on the level board at the beginning. If you fail the level, you will start playing the same level without those items.

They are not permanent rewards, it is an event that helps you pass the levels. Once you reached the third crown, there is no additional crown you can earn. If you pass the level with your 3rd crown, you'll start playing the next level again with 3rd crown.
